Heads up. If you're looking for a fresh fix of futuristic hip hop you couldn't do much better than 19-year old Michael Anthony Barrios, better known as Loon. A Californian native, this young beatsmith is quickly establishing himself as one to watch on the West Coast scene. Collaborations with Devonwho, and not to mention forthcoming releases on Made In Glitch Record have already caught the attention of online tastemakers and it's looking like 2010 is going to be the year Loon truly breaks through. Drawing inspiration from the golden age of hip hop whilstl keeping a keen ear to the streets, Loon's distinctive blend of gritty, glitchy beats and sweet pop melodies are going to be hard to avoid in the coming months.
